CARE AND INSTRUCTION SHEET HERE ARE A FEW TIPS TO CARE FOR AND PROTECT YOUR NEW PURCHASES. TREES AND SHRUBS :The plants, trees, and shrubs that we have installed are of the finest quality. During the next few years, until they become well established in their new environment, they will requires some time to ensure their health and survival. THE MOST OFTEN OVERLOOKED NEEDS IS WATER.New plants especially will require water. This should be administered slowly and deeply, allowing the water to penetrate down to at least one foot. All plants less than 5 years old should be treated just like flowers and watered whenever the flowers need watering. Newly planted plants should be watered daily for at least 2 weeks based on the time of year and weather conditions. (For weekly watering conditions. Visit our web site WHEN TO WATER and click on LAWN SPRINKLERS. Then click on WHEN AND HOW LONG TO WATER. Mulch is extremely important. It helps to keep weeds down, reduces water loss from evaporation, and keeps soil warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Organic mulches are preferred, and should be applied between 2 and 4 inches deep. Fertilization of your new plants should be done annually. Proper timing of this will vary depending on the plant species. Your plants will require periodic inspections to insure against disease or insect infestations. Steve's Maintenance Division can help you with any of these needs. STEVE'S LANDSCAPING WILL ONLY WARRANTY YOUR NEW PLANTS AGAINST ANY DEFECTS IN THE INSTALLATION PROCESS. PLANTINGS THAT ARE NOT PROPERLY CARED FOR ARE NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED. |
