THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER IS A GOOD TIME TO GET THE YARD IN SHAPE FOR THE UPCOMING WINTER. HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT SHOULD BE DONE.
1) LAWN MOWING: Cutting your lawn weekly, to a height of 2 to 3 inches, with a sharp blade, is essential to having a beautiful thick lawn. 2) FALL CLEAN UP: Remove leaves and sticks from you lawn and shrub beds
3) FERTILIZER: Install a well balanced lawn fertilizer with quick release nitrogen to help green up the lawn for the up coming spring, and spot spray for broad leaf weeds.
4) GUTTER CLEANING: Remove leaves and sticks from gutters, flush leaders with water. 5) SHRUB BEDS: Install a well balanced fertilizer for trees and shrubs. spray delicate plants with wilt-proof to protect them from wind and ice. 6) SNOW PLOWING: Mark your driveway , landscape lighting, fences and plants to prevent snow plow damage. 7) SHUT DOWN SPRINKLER SYSTEM: Blow out sprinklers ,valves and back flow valve with compressed air.
