NEW for 2011! We have restructured our
fertilization programs to better meet the needs of our customers. We now offer
Gold, Silver and Bronze Fertilization packages, as well as our Organic
Fertilization and Tree & Shrub Care Programs. All provide a balanced approach to
lawn care based on seasonal and climate conditions. We use only high-quality,
DEP approved chemicals, and our technicians and applicators are licensed by the
state of New Jersey. All applications meet or exceed all safety requirements
and we inform you of all applications in accordance with federal, state, and
local requirements. We use non-phosphorus fertilizing products to protect our
natural groundwater. Applications are performed weather permitting and timed to
be agronomically appropriate. Some applications may be combined. Please note:
Fungicide is not included in any program and is not covered by our warranty.
Application 1 Crabgrass pre-emergent, with a complete balanced fertilizer for a quick spring green up and lasting crabgrass control. Application 2 Crabgrass Control and slow release nitrogen fertilizer with Iron to ensure color and strengthen the turf for summer, with broadleaf weed control as needed. Application 3 Healthy Turf: 100% Organic product formulated to provide slow release organic nutrients to turf grass. It is derived from natural organic sources and includes beneficial rhizosphere bacteria to boost biological activity in the soil. Application 4 Surface feeding insect, grub and tick control to control these pest populations in the fine turf area with broadleaf weed spraying as needed. Application 5 A balanced fertilizer formulated to help renew the lawn after the stress of summer and broadleaf weed control as needed. Application 6 A high nitrogen fertilizer to strengthen the lawn for winter with broadleaf weed control as needed . Application 7 A pelletized lime application to correct acidic soils, common to our area, and enhance fertilizer response and root establishment.
Aeration -
Mechanical core aeration normally performed once per season to break up soil
compaction and aid fertilizer absorption. Overseeding is generally done
at this time, but is priced separately.

Application 1 PHC: manufactured in homogeneous granules that penetrate easily through the turf canopy, it provides nitrogen and iron for quick green up, as well as rich organic material and active rhizosphere bacteria to replenish depleted soil.
Application 2
15-3-7 Application 3 Healthy Turf: 100% Organic product formulated to provide slow release organic nutrients to turf grass. It is derived from natural organic sources and includes beneficial rhizosphere bacteria to boost biological activity in the soil. Application 4 20-1-5 Application 5 Healthy Start is a granular fertilizer formulated to provide organic matter and sustainable fertility for all landscape plants. Made from the finest natural ingredients, it not only provides slow release N-P-K, but it immediately adds organic matter to the soil.
All Tree & Shrub fertilizing applications will contain properly balanced nutrients for each plants specific needs. When appropriate, this fertilizer may be applied under high pressure to ensure proper root uptake. Climate conditions, type of disease and/or insect, and plant material affected will have an effect on results. For example, plants invaded by blight disease or by boring insects have a high probability of death or decline. Special treatments for the aforementioned insects and diseases may incur additional costs. Some applications may be combined. Fungicide is not included in any program. Application 1 Spring Dormant Oil: Spray application of horticultural oil that helps to control over-wintering egg masses, immature, and adult insects and deprive them of succulent new growth. Application 2 Spring Fertilization: A deep root fertilization injected directly into the root system of the plant. Enhancing plant color, improves flowering, and helps to grow out winter stress. Application 3 Late Spring Visit: Property Inspection - Insect & Disease Application as needed. Initial property inspection and application as needed to minimize damage from disease and young insects. Application 4 Summer Visit: Property Inspection - Insect & Disease Application as needed. This visit provides control to minimize various diseases and insect infestations that may occur in summer. Application 5 Late Summer Visit: Property Inspection - Insect & Disease Application as needed. This visit is to continue preventative care and provides treatment to minimize various insects and diseases that occur in late summer. Application 6 Early Fall Visit: Fertilization - Slow release fertilizations are injected into the root system of the plant to promote strong root growth and assists in food storage for use throughout the winter months. Application 7 Late Fall Visit: Spray application of oil - An application of oil to reduce population of egg masses to help minimizing future insect activity; also helps to control over-wintering egg masses and immature insects. Application 8 Winter Visit: Winter Protection - Helps to minimize damage caused by the freeze and thaw cycle of winter. Steves Guarantee: If for any reason you are not pleased with the results of any program treatment, call me and I promise we will reapply the application at no cost to you. If an untimely rainfall affects any application, re-spraying will be done at no additional charge. Please note because of the vast variety of funguses that exist, their reoccurring nature, and since different funguses may require specific chemicals and/or repeated treatments, we do not guarantee fungicide applications.
